What we prepare and file. The permit and the visa themselves are granted by the authorities that issue them — our part is getting the file in front of them correctly the first time.
Two-year residence visa
Applied for against your own permit rather than an employer’s establishment, so nobody else holds your status. Renewable, and it does not lapse when a client relationship does.
Medical, biometrics & Emirates ID
We book the medical fitness test and the Emirates ID appointment and track the file through both. The Emirates ID is the document a bank or a landlord actually asks to see.
Invoicing you can be paid on
A licence number on your invoice is what lets a company’s accounts department register you as a supplier and release payment. Without one, plenty of them simply cannot.
Bank account opening assistance
Personal and business, at no extra charge. We prepare the pack the bank asks for and introduce you; the bank makes its own decision, as banks do.
Family sponsorship guidance
Once your own residency is issued you can sponsor a spouse and children, and in many cases parents, where you meet the income and housing conditions the authority sets.

How it runs
Four stages. You are needed in two of them.

Day 1
Documents and activities
A passport copy and one white-background photograph. We agree the activity list against the work you actually invoice for, then check the details that stall applications before the file goes anywhere.

Day 2–3
Permit filed, initial approval
The application is lodged with the free-zone authority. Initial approval usually returns within about 48 hours, and the freelance work permit follows it.

Day 3–9
Entry permit or status change, then the medical
Coming from abroad you travel in on the entry permit; already here, your status changes in country. The medical fitness test and the Emirates ID biometrics follow, both booked by us. These two are the stages you attend in person.

Day 10–12
Residence visa and Emirates ID
Your residence visa is stamped, and the Emirates ID follows it. From there you are a UAE resident sponsored by your own permit, which is also the point at which a bank will finally open an account.
Those days are what we typically see across the files we prepare, not a promise. Every application is decided by the authority that issues it, and a file can wait on a medical slot, a public holiday or a document we have to come back to you for.

A passport and a photograph.
That is genuinely the whole starting kit for most people. Everything else on the list happens during the process rather than before it.
- Passport, valid six months or moreA colour scan of the photo page — readable rather than artistic. Short remaining validity is the commonest reason a file bounces before it has properly started.
- One photograph, white backgroundTaken recently, face uncovered and fully visible, against white. Phone cameras are fine — it is the wall behind you that fails, and off-white counts as failing.
- Your current UAE status, if you have oneVisit stamp, employment visa, dependant visa, whichever applies. It is what decides whether the file runs in country as a status change or starts with an entry permit from outside.
Medical insurance is compulsory for UAE residency and is not included in our fee. A UAE mobile number and an address are needed for the Emirates ID registration; if you do not have them yet, that is a sequencing question rather than a problem.
Before you pay anybody

This market has a lot of confident websites in it. These are the questions that separate them, and we would rather you asked us than found out later — so here are our answers, in public.
- Whose name will the permit be issued in?Ours: yours. If any provider answers with a company you have never heard of, what is being sold is employment sponsorship rather than a freelance permit — legal, but a different arrangement, with no licence in your name and a residency that ends when the employment does.
- What licence do you hold, and are you a government agency?Ours: Trivup Documents Clearing Services holds a Dubai documents-clearing licence, which is what permits a private company to lodge paperwork with government departments for a client. It is not a government appointment. Nobody in this market has one — the UAE does not designate private firms as government visa agencies, so anyone claiming that status is describing something that does not exist.
- What exactly does the fee cover?Ours: a written quotation before anything is filed, with our professional fee stated separately from the charges the authorities set. If an authority changes a fee mid-process we come back to you before proceeding, not after. And you can apply directly to the authority yourself without paying any service fee at all — that route exists, and it is worth knowing about before you choose ours.

What people ask before they send the form.
Is a freelance work permit the same thing as a freelance visa?
“Freelance visa” is the everyday name for both halves together. The work permit is what allows you to trade and to invoice in your own name; the residence visa is what allows you to live here, and the permit is what sponsors it. Most people need both, which is why they are applied for as one engagement. If you already hold UAE residency — as a dependant, a Golden Visa holder or a GCC national — you need only the permit.
Can I do this without leaving the UAE?
Usually, yes. If you are inside the country on a visit or an employment visa, your status can normally be changed in country with no exit run. Whether it applies to you depends on your entry type and nationality, so it is confirmed at the consultation rather than assumed.
How many clients can I work with, and can they be outside the UAE?
There is no limit on the number of clients, and they can be anywhere. A UAE freelance permit lets you invoice companies inside the country and abroad, under a contract, in your own trade name.
What does it cost?
It is quoted individually in writing after a free consultation, because the figure moves with the free zone, the activities and whether you need the visa half at all. Our professional fee is always stated separately from the government and free-zone charges, which are set by the authorities and paid to them. Instalment plans are available through Tabby and Tamara, and nothing is payable until you have agreed the quote.
Can you guarantee my application will be approved?
No, and no consultancy can — approval rests entirely with the issuing authority, which decides each application on its own merits. What we can do is prepare the file so the avoidable reasons for a refusal are not in it, and tell you before you commit if we think your case carries a risk.
Do I need a degree, or attested documents?
Not for most activities. A handful of regulated ones — some education, training and technical work — do require a degree certificate, attested in the country that issued it. Whether it applies depends on the activities you select, and we tell you at the consultation rather than halfway through.
